Do you run your own business or know someone that does? It can be very stressful at times and feel like a rollercoaster of emotions. There can be months of climbing up up and up. Then the drought hits you and you’re left wondering if you should just give it all up and sell it or start over. Sometimes its difficult to sleep and you wake up with lists of things that “need to get done.” It really is never ending. It isn’t all bad, but it seems like this is a tough season for some reason.

The following blog is all about the anxieties of being an entrepreneur and how to overcome them in healthy ways. I talk to you about what science recommends, what some practical entrepreneurs have recommended and include some fun GIPHYs for your entertainment. If you stay to the end I talk about a program I’m excited to share. If you find any value in this, please screen shot parts you enjoyed most, take notes and share it on your social media and with those you care about most.

Tip #1: Know That You’re Not Alone
⠀
Check out this article by Inc. on entrepreneurs and mental health. It includes tips to handle anxieties as a business owner. My favorite is taking a hold of your business and figuring out the best/worst scenario.

Worst case scenario? I lost $50k? Best scenario you grow revenue by 10 percent? It helps if you can break down decisions into their simplest forms. That way you can make clear decisions and know what to expect either way they go down.
⠀

Tip #2: Entrepreneurs Deal With More Anxiety and Mental Illness Than Most Adults In Traditional Jobs
⠀
If you’re an entrepreneur, check this article out by Entrepreneur . It lays out the realities of owning a business and the toll it can take on individuals. It also provides strategies for those in business that may be struggling with anxiety and depression.

If you’re a business owner, you already are dealing with running your business and the pressure of everything being your responsibility. Its okay to have mental illness and need other people’s support at times. It’s normal, expected and understandable to have stressful days on the job.

Many entrepreneurs like you decide on a few ways to deal with their anxieties and depression by listing out their favorite activities. They put their list in an easy to find spot for those days when life just kinda … sucks. That way, even if they’re not thinking clearly, they can easily find the list and select an activity they love to do to help lower their anxieties and overcome their depression.

Tip #3: Here’s What Other CEO Have To Say About Their Mental Illness
⠀
Check this article out by Entrepreneur ⬇️ ⠀
⠀
A CEO’s story on mental illness and how he bounced back. I love how he encourages people to seek on going treatment throughout life. Whether that’s seeking a licensed therapist, or doing whatever treatment works for you. I also really appreciate how he shares about his own traumas growing up and how you never really know someone’s story unless you ask them.⠀
⠀

Tip #4: Hey Entrepreneurs! Are You Ready To Take Your Business To The Next Level In 2020?!⠀
⠀
The first step to moving forward is assessing circumstances accurately.⠀
⠀
