Have you ever met someone that has such a positive outlook on life before? Maybe when you were a child at summer camp or in your teens, that mentor you looked up to. Or maybe at your job, that one person that always has something spectacular going on in their life. No matter where you find yourself, positivity is undeniably magnetizing. Wouldn’t you agree? So too is negativity and albeit has an even stronger magnet.

Today’s blog is about keeping things positive, some practical strategies, real stories from my personal and professional experiences and what science tells us. Stay tuned for the end where I share about a program I am really proud about.

#1 Know the benefits of why being positive is beneficial ⠀
⠀
Check out this article the Mayo Clinic released on positivity. I really like that they say it helps prevent colds! Who wants to prevent sickness? ME!

#2 Be Clear On What You Want To Be Focused On

Our subconscious brain cannot handle negativity.⠀Literally.⠀
⠀
If you focus on something that you want or don’t want, our subconscious thinks it is something you want regardless.⠀
⠀
So pay attention to your thoughts, as those thoughts are attracting things into your reality.⠀
⠀
No matter how woo-woo you think this is, it’s legit!⠀Check out this video for a description on attracting more of what you want.
⠀

#3 Expect Good Things To Come

You’ll improve your outlook of the future.⠀
⠀
Keeping a positive outlook on the future, opens you up to even more opportunities!⠀I was really depressed after I got my bachelors.⠀Why? It was 2008 and there were no jobs and I owed like $65k in student debt.⠀
⠀
I decided I’d get a Masters and with some guidance, I would not take any more loans out. Then I was awarded a full-ride graduate teaching assistantship to Oregon State University.⠀Funny thing was, the head of the department called me and we spoke about my reasons for going back to school. I told him, I couldn’t pay my student debt and there weren’t any jobs available for teaching full time so I wanted to get my Masters to be able to open up more opportunities. He said, “Erin that’s understandable but we are looking for people that have a few more years of teaching experience in our program. Try again in a few years.”

A few months later, I got the letter I was accepted from the school against his desire and given a full tuition remission from teaching classes. What the advisor suggested was based on his world view. I trusted that there was something bigger and better planned for my future and took action and applied. They even gave me monthly assistance to cover my living and food.
⠀
I am extremely blessed and owe a lot of that to expecting the schooling to be covered.⠀I wasn’t sure how, but I trusted in my future.⠀
⠀

#4 Create An Environment To Cultivate The Positivity Habit

In order to create this environment you must include the following:⠀
⠀
🌍 Prepare your environment⠀- surround your home and work with positive and hopeful things you want to attract into your life. Create a vision board or vision binder and view it often.
⠀
💜 Start smaller than you think. A lot of people create big bodacious goals and then when they don’t achieve them fast enough they give up. Create small micro visions and dreams along the way and celebrate the small victories.
⠀
📓 Take note of 1 positive moment every day. You can take note of more than 1 but in the mindset of keeping things simple and habit forming, start with 1 and go from there. On tough days read through your positive moments to boost your mood.
⠀
🧘‍♀️ Meditate daily. I cannot stress this one enough. Since I started meditating regularly I can feel it immediately when I haven’t meditated. There are neurological changes that happen in your brain when you meditate. If you need support getting started, google it. I practice daily for anywhere from 20-60 minutes or more.⠀
⠀
Soon it will become a habit and you’ll be seeing and expecting positive things in your future. ⠀
⠀

#5 Purchase Curriculum That Incorporates Positivity and Is Laid Out For Your Instruction

The Move Happy Facilitator Program© Includes Content To Move You Towards Happiness 🤸‍♀️?!⠀
⠀
Super excited & proud to share my 16-week program with you! It is something I actually facilitated to my former patients in a psychiatric hospital.⠀
⠀
We ran the program 4 days a week and each week included a topic like how I share with you every week. I worked with adult patients in a live-in facility. They were given the opportunity to tweak the program to make it better and better each semester. We ran the program 3 separate times and by the 3rd time, I had patients in halls walk up to me in the courtyard asking if they could move to my hall and be in my group. This was definitely a fun program that transformed my patients’ lives as well as mine. I’m honored to share it with you.
⠀
All weekly topics were related to happiness from what I researched. I created a psychological questionnaire to measure happiness (simple 1-pager) & a fitness questionnaire to measure fitness so you and your participants can track progress throughout.⠀
⠀
My patients improved for the most part in both areas consistently and spread news about the group around the hospital 💜 ⠀
⠀
Each day includes:⠀
⠀
Journaling 📓 (pre-designed questions I created)⠀
Group Discussion of the daily topic (a subtopic of the weekly)⠀
&⠀
Workouts 🏋️‍♀️ With Minimal Equipment that are safe for all ages⠀
⠀
I recreated the workouts via video example (demo not full) so you don’t have to be a fitness expert to run the program⠀
⠀
I’m looking for program testers that are willing to give me a testimony to increase the trust factor (honest testimony of course). ⠀
⠀
To the first person to email me a receipt of order, you get a complimentary 1-hour consult with me.⠀
